continue its efforts to normalize relations with other financial
institutions. Most of them resumed their financial activities with the
Sudan particularly the Arab funds and the OPEC Fund. Presently Sudan
is witnessing a remarkable flow of technical missions from the world
Bank, Arab funds, China, Russia, Malaysia, Turkey, Egypt, the Gulf
states, Iran and others. Financial agreements for financing major
projects in the fields of electricity, agriculture, irrigation, health
and education were signed including credits to the private sector from
available financial windows of external financial institutions.
EFFORTS TO JOIN THE WORLD TRADE
ORGANIZATION (WTO):
Sudan has
presented its offer to join the WTO since 1994. Measures have been
taken to meet the requirements of membership terms and conditions
especially in the fields of economic, trade and investment
liberalization and revision of laws and regulatory framework.
